Thank you for your interest in the Rebel Bass Club. Hopefully the following will answer questions about the club. If you have any additional questions or are interested in attending a meeting, please email us at sarebelbassclub@yahoo.com
To Join the Club:
Prospective members must fish at least one club tournament, attend at least one meeting, read and agree to abide by the club By-Laws and Tournament rules of Rebel Bass Club prior to being eligible for membership. Exception: Immediate family members of an active member are automatically eligible for membership. (See Club Constitution)
Membership Dues:
Dues are $30.00 a year. For the new members that join later in the year the dues are pro-rated.
Tournament Information:
To be a member of the Rebel Bass Club you do not need a boat. We have a lot of members that have boats and you should be able to find someone to fish with. Also, you can bring a guest if you wish and fish with them.
We fish 12 tournaments a year; five to six are two day tournaments. You may fish by yourself, with someone from the club or you can bring a guest.
Club Standings:
Club standings are determined on a points basis. You get 10 points for each club meeting you attend, 10 points for each tournament you attend and points on how you place in each tournament you fish.
Other Information:
Rebel hosts one tournament a year as a fund raiser for the club. The tournament is the "Rebel Open" held each year at Medina Lake in October. It is a team tournanment with an hourly big bass payout as well as heavy stringer and overall big bass. We encourage junior anglers to participate by offering a seperate payout to the junior angler with the heaviest team stringer.
The Rebel Bass club is a member of the San Antonio Metropolitan League of Bass Clubs (METRO).
There are 10 bass clubs that are members of METRO. METRO is our voice on issues concerning fishing.
Rebel participates in the Annual Boysville Fishing Tournament sponsored by the Towne and Country Optimist and METRO. Rebel members volunteer to assist the boys and girls from Boysville on a half-day fishing adventure as well as providing a financial contribution.
METRO sponsors one tournament a year. The City Championship Tournament is held in October. This tournament is an opportunity for all affiliate clubs to compete for the top club honors.
