Choke1 2010

RAIN, THUNDER, RAIN, LIGHTNING, RAIN, RAIN, RAIN, AND MORE RAIN!

IT WAS ELECTRIFYING!!

Our fearless tournament director "BRAD" schedule our Choke tournament on a day that we had severe RAIN, THUNDER, LIGHTNING AND FLOODING going on.  He said there was no reason to cancel the tournament, so we floated on.  Okay, I get it...boats are designed to float provided your bilge pumps work.  So some of us put our rainsuits on and launched while others sat in their pickups  and watched it rain.  And did it rain...ALL DAY!!  About 2:00 p.m. the thunder and lightning rolled in and many vacated the lake while others stayed and took risk to catch a fish.  Now lets think about this, risking your life fishing in thunder and lightning to catch a fish...what is wrong with this picture.

Tournament Results:

1st Place - Wayne Tauer              5 fish - 11.00#

2nd Place - Debbie Hunter           5 fish - 10.21#

3rd Place-Ray Westmoreland, Jr. 5 fish - 9.91#

4th Place - Michelle Neugart         4 fish - 8.79#

5th Place - Eric Tauer                     5 fish - 7.36#

6th Place-Ray Westmoreland, Sr., 5  fish-7.19#

Brad with his new hairdo.  I was told that if you rub the top of his head it will bring good luck.

The day is cold, and dark, and dreary
It rains, and the wind is never weary;
The fishing rod still clings in my pruney fingers,
But with every raindrop and gust the lure must fall,
And the day is dark and dreary.

 Water running out of tank dam into lake.  Carp were seen swimming up the dam like salmon.
